A heated brawl erupted inside a Whole Foods bakery in Downtown Los Angeles, captured on video and drawing attention to tensions among shoppers. The incident, which unfolded on Wednesday at the city’s Downtown LA store, shows two large men grappling and trying to throw each other to the ground as onlookers and staff scramble to intervene.
Security personnel appear to trail the situation, attempting to separate the competitors while one participant shoves the other into a display of pastries, sending pastries and cartons crashing to the floor. The altercation spills to the ground before guards manage to restrain the men, who then resume grappling before being fully stopped.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed receiving a call about two men in their 30s fighting inside the store and noted concern that the situation might escalate. When officers arrived, the two combatants had already left the scene. There is no ongoing police investigation into the incident at this time.
Whole Foods representatives have not yet provided an official statement regarding the incident.
